Morning Illusions

The morning air bites crisp on my neck as I sit alone pondering who and what we are

My breath visibly displays its truth as it dissipates

Everything in life is temporary

I listen to the birds chirping

Singing songs to melodies, as humans, we will never understand

My emotions draw deep as I listen to the wind playing a different tune

The wind chimes soft harping alerts me to its presence as the leaves clap at the opportunity to dance

The morning dew sets in over the garden

As the spider has captured her prey

I can see the sun rising over the mountains as a new day begins

The shadows on the western side come alive

Dancing freely while bowing to the light

My illusion of being alone quickly vanishes as she walks through the threshold

And the Universe graces me another day to live and breathe by her side
