Hey everyone,
I’m starting a new project soon. It’s be another cooperation of In My Light Productions and Sleeping Hooligan. It’s a subject as close to me as Autism Skates is. It’s about suicide prevention.
If you live in the PNW areas between Eugene Oregon and the SW Washington areas (Including areas of the coast) please consider participation. We’re shooting a video that will interview suicide survivors and families of suicide victims. Please read the following Q&A.
Q: What we need.
A: People! People who have survived suicide on both sides (friends, family members, YOU)
Q: What is required?
A: We’ll be interviewing you on video about how suicide has affected your life. What changed? What may have caused you to change your mind? etc etc. Do you feel you could have helped your friend or family member? How? There is a list of questions. These are just a few examples. We’ll need anyone involved to sign a release so that we can add you into the video.
Q: What about your privacy?
A: If you wish to speak to us so that you can have a voice, but do not wish your face to be seen we will respect that. It does not disqualify you from the project.
Q: When?
A: It’s in the works, but it will be after January 1st. The holidays are stressful enough, so there is no need to add extra stress to anyone.
Q: Why are you doing this?
A: This year alone I’ve lost friends to suicide. I myself am a suicide survivor. It’s important to me to bring attention to the growing epidemic of people losing their battle to depression. Every day is a struggle for many of us. If we all pitch in and create a true support network by drawing attention to such a taboo subject then it might open minds and save lives.
